Alternatively, select the item in the Model Explorer, right-click and select 3D View, select Add, Add Connected or Add Within Volume from the drop-down menu.

Alternatively, select the item in the Model Explorer, on the Format 3D tab, in the Manage group, click Add Element. Refer to Format 3D Tab for further information.

To delete an item from a 3D view, select the item in 3D view, right-click and select Remove from 3D View from the drop-down menu.
