The Framework Codes tab contains alternative descriptions for the support codes used by the MDS application. For example, if we take the FT09 support and list some of the possible support codes, the list will be as follows:

These codes depend on the steelwork size used and the numbers of cross bars. In some circumstances the clients standard may have a different standard code for different steelwork sizes but the same configuration. The settings defined here may be used to print the correct code in the MDS Design module, on the ADP drawing and in the material list of the piping isometric and output in a MDS Report if required.
