MDS Admin Data Form : Options (1) Tab : User Warning Angle (MDSPIVWARN)
This default is also associated with hangers and determines the angle above which a warning is displayed to the user. If the user attempts to support a section of pipe whose slope is greater than or equal to the MDSPIVWARN angle, an error is displayed but the user is allowed to continue with the design process.

In the example given in Figure 3:8.: MDSMAXPIVA and MDSPIVWARN, the designer would have received a warning alert, as the slope of the pipe is greater than the MDSPIVWARN angle but less than the MDSMAXPIVA angle.
