On the Laser tab, in the
Display group, click
Edge Mode to toggle on and off the accentuation of edges in the laser model within the 3D view display.
On the Laser tab, in the
Display group, click
Optimise Contrast to cycle through a number of contrast values applied to the laser data, this can aid the display of laser data in some situations.
On the Laser tab, in the
Display group, click
Low density points to switch on or off the display of low density laser data.
The user can choose to clip the laser data being displayed by using an irregular boundary. On the Laser tab, in the
Display group, click
Polygon Fence, use the Screen Pick filter to define the outline, each polygon fence boundary definition limit the extents of the resultant volume.
To define the volume, click CE Volume or
Pick Volume within the display. The
Positioning Control window is displayed, when
Laser Data is selected, it applies filter to the cursor. The user can only pick laser data in the 3D view. Once the user has defined the volume, it can be modified by entering the new values within the
Laser - Region Of Interest window or grabbing the axis handles within the 3D view.
Any changes in either the Laser - Region Of Interest window or the 3D view are updated vice versa. For example the user drags the handle on the 3D view and the
Laser - Region Of Interest window will update or the user updates the
Laser - Region Of Interest window and the 3D view will update.
The Set view quality option allows the user to set the point density within the region of interest. The point density cannot be defined in absolute terms as a High point density, for a small volume this will result in a higher point density than for a large volume. Select from the
Inside drop-down list the quality of the density points.
The volume defined in the Laser - Region Of Interest window is reflected within the 3D view as a box.
Having set the region of interest or the polygon fence, on the Laser tab, in the
Display group, click
Display reset to reset the volumes defined and reset the complete display of the laser data to low density points. As a result, if low density points have been switched off the display of laser data will be removed. Toggle the low resolution points back
On to reinstate the low resolution points.
