Monochrome
The user can view loaded elements in the 3D viewer in a Monochrome effect, which will display the elements in white with the outlines of the elements in black on a white background. The following displays loaded elements in the 3D viewer in its default viewer settings:
To display a monochrome effect, on the
3D View
tab, in the
Contents
group, click
Monochrome
.
The monochrome effect will only apply to the current view and any other view that shares the same drawlist. This is because the temporary changes apply to the drawlist and not to the view.
Note:
When using the monochrome effect, the active and current element colour functions are same as default auto colours, which can be used to emphasis the elements being selected, when using the standard auto colours.
Any elements added to the view subsequent to a switch to Monochrome, the elements will be displayed in the default auto colour or selected colour and will not appear white. It can be used to great effect, where the equipment has been added after switching to monochrome.
To reset the view or views sharing the same drawlist to their original colours, select a view and on the
3D View
tab, in the
Contents
group, click
Monochrome
.
