Design Aids : 3D Construction Aids : Aid Copy/Move Rotate
The Aid Copy Rotate window allows the user to create copies of aid constructs, singly or in groups and rotate the copies through a specified angle about a given axis.
From the 3D Aid Constructs window select Create > Copy > Rotate to display the Aid Copy Rotate window.
When the window is displayed, event-driven graphical picking is operative. Pick the aid element(s) to be copied and/or rotated (pick an element again to remove it from the group); press Esc on the keyboard when the user has finished. The selected aids is highlighted in the 3D View.

Click Pick to start picking a new group.

Click Clear to clear the selected pick.

Enter required number of Copies in the text field (when in Move mode, copies is greyed out). When the option is applied, the number of copies is set to zero to prevent accidental creation of unwanted copies.

In the Rotation Angle (*) text field, enter the required angle in degrees. If the number of copies times the rotation angle exceeds 360 degrees, the number of copies is reduced.

Defines the axis in terms of its direction and a position through which it passes. Either type the Position (East, North, Up ) coordinates and if required, select one or all of the Lock check boxes to fix the current coordinate along the axis) and Direction explicitly, or derive them from existing design items as follows:

The current settings are displayed by the Rotation Line aid in the 3D View. The user can enter/modify the Direction data by using the right-click mouse button. The options are:

The With Respect To (wrt) text box allows the selection of co-ordinates with respect to any design element.
|
Click Apply to create the copies, or executes the move, but confirmation is required to retain the change. Click Dismiss to cancel the copy or the move.
