Set Centre of View

View Design : 3D View Window : Set Centre of View

Right click on the 3D view and select Set Centre of View to pan the 3D view such that the identified element or screen position is centred in the 3D view. View rotations also take place about the point defined in this way.

Selection

Centres the 3D view on the current element, or on the Graphical Selection if one exists.

Identify Element

Allows the user to centre the view on an identified element in the graphics. To identify the element click on it.

Note:

The pointer symbol changes in this mode.

Identifying an element with a pointer pick in this way does not set the selected element to be the Current Element.

Screen Pick

Allows the user to identify a position in a 3D view, which can be in free space to become the centre of view. Click on the 3D view with the middle mouse button to also performs this operation.
