Right click on the 3D view and select Zoom To, allows the user to zoom and pan the 3D View to get the required part of the 3D model to fill the view. The smoothness of the zoom operation can be controlled, on the Project tab, click Options, click Views and select Animations to toggle on or off.

The current element fills the 3D View if there is no Graphical Selection. If the user is in Model Editor mode, and a Graphical Selection has been made, then it fills the view.

At any time prior to selecting an element the user can cancel the operation, press Esc on the keyboard.
