Modules

Common Functionality User Guide

Design is divided into a number of functional modules which access the databases for a different purposes. To change to a different module, on the Project tab, select Modules to display the list of available modules.


Monitor	Controls the user’s entry into the system. Refer to Monitor for further information.
Admin	Allows the administrator to set up new projects, controlling which users have access to which databases, administer projects, including change management and setting AVEVA fonts. Refer to Administrator for further information.
Draw	Produces fully annotated scale drawings showing selected parts of the design model created in DESIGN. Refer to DRAW for further information.
Isodraft	Controls the production of isometric drawings. Refer to ISODRAFT for further information.
Spool	SPOOL is the pipework spooling module. It allows the user to split the pipework design into logical sections (spools) ready for fabrication. Refer to Pipework Design for further information.
Paragon	Provides a set of intuitive windows and menus allowing complete administration of the Catalogue and Properties. Refer to Catalogues and Specifications for further information.
Specon	Used by the administrator to create or modify the component specifications within the catalogue database. Specifications define the suitability of catalogue components for particular types of use. Refer to Catalogues and Specifications for further information.
Lexicon	Allows the system administrator complete control of the administration of the Dictionary (DICT) database of a project. Refer to LEXICON for further information.
Propcon	Used by the administrator to create or modify the properties database, which holds details of those properties of the components and materials which may be needed for stress analysis or safety auditing of all or part of a design. Refer to Catalogues and Specifications for further information.

When the user changes to a different module a Confirm window is displayed, to confirm the module change. Select Yes to enter the selected module or No to cancel.
