Working With PARAGON Applications : Create : Text Definition

Text Definition (TEXT elements) can be used to store any textual data at almost any level in the database hierarchy.

Select Create > Text from the main menu to display the Text Definition window.

Type over unset in the first input field to name the element.

Type the required text string into the Text field. This data, which is stored in the STEX attribute of the Text element, is restricted to a maximum of 120 characters.

Note: The text must not be enclosed between apostrophes unless the user wants these to form part of the text string.

Use the drop-down to change the window to a modify mode.

Click Apply to create the text element or Dismiss to close the window.

To return to the Text Definition window select Modify > Text from the main window drop-down.
