AVEVA E3D™ Databases : Database Sessions : Backtracking and Merging Sessions
When a new session is made, the changed data is appended to the end of the database file. Appending updated data to files will increase the disk space required. If this is a problem, you merge the intermediate session information for each database. Refer to Backtracking Sessions for further information.
