Cross-band Line
A
Cross-band Line
control is used to draw a line through several bands.
This can be useful if it is required to visually emphasise a part of a report that covers multiple band areas. In other aspects, this control is similar to the
Line
control.
Reporting supports one more cross-band control. Refer to
Cross-band Box
.
In the
Property Grid
, the
Cross-band Line
control's properties are divided into the following groups:
Appearance
•
Foreground Color
Specifies the colour of the control's line. This option is also available on the
Formatting
Toolbar (
).

Formatting Rules
Displays the
Formatting Rules Editor
used to choose which rules should be applied to the control during report generation, and define the precedence of the applied rules. Refer to
Conditionally Change a Control's Appearance
for further information.
•
Line Style
Used to select the line style: solid (the default), dashed, dotted or mixed.
Behaviour
•
Anchor Vertically
Specifies the vertical anchoring style of the control, so that after page rendering it stays attached to the top control, bottom control, or both.

Visible
Specifies whether the control should be visible when the report is previewed.
Data
•
Tag
This property enables users to add additional information to the control; for example its Id, by which it can then be accessed by scripts.

Determines a control's name, by which it can be accessed in the
Report Explorer
,
Property Grid
or by scripts.
Layout
•
End Band
Specifies the band in which the line ends.
•
End Point
Specifies the end point of the line (from upper left corner of the band specified by the
End Band
property).
•
Start Band
Specifies the band in which the line starts.
•
Start Point
Specifies the start point of the line (from upper left corner of the band specified by the
Start Band
property).
•
Width
Specifies the line's width in report measurement units.
