The PML
Customisation User Guide
is not designed as a self-teach tutorial, although if you are already familiar with PML 1 programming you may be able to use it as such.
Because PML 2 is specifically designed to be used to create Forms and Menus, the best way of experimenting is to start up an AVEVA product and display the command line.
You can then create new form and object definition files, or edit existing ones. You can display your forms and use them interactively to execute your methods, or access your own independent PML functions and objects, which you have defined in your own separate definition files.
The source files for some of the larger examples are available from the AVEVA web site, so you can download them rather than having to type them in.
You can find them here under \PML Macro Library.
