Hanger Template Administration
: Hanger Rotation
Hanger Rotation
Each hanger template allows control of which components can be rotated during design. The rotation is controlled by an attribute named MDSHangRot: that is set at the template hanger ZONE.
Consider the following hanger template:
The attribute value that defines the rotation for this hanger template is composed as follows:
Each hanger template can have a rotation definition for all hangers within the template. Each rotation definition is delimited by the '\' character.
Each rotation definition is broken down as:
The hangers section value is 2,3. The subsequent rotation configuration applies to hangers 2 and 3 only.
Note:
If multiple hangers are covered by the rotation definition then they must be separated by the ',' character.
Note:
The hanger and hanger component rotation 1 sections must be separated by the ':' character.
The hanger component rotation sections are required to define which components can and cannot be rotated. The hanger component rotation sections also define which components must be rotated as part of a pack of components in one operation.
Note:
Hanger component rotation sections must be separated by the ';' character.
Hanger 1
Hanger component 1 cannot be rotated, for example, the riser clamp which is the only component member of the hanger.
Hanger 2 and Hanger 3
Hanger components 1 and 2 cannot be rotated. These are non-rotatable components that are connected to the riser clamp which also cannot be rotated.
Components 7, 8 and 9 of the hanger can be rotated but must be considered as a pack of components. Any rotation must be applied to all three components simultaneously.
