Area Hierarchy
All database elements are owned by other elements, therefore elements must be created in a strict order. A defined database structure is used for the area functionality.
Below the World level in the Model application, the area specific elements are:
Area (AREAWL)
Area World (AREAWL) elements are administrative and can own a number of Area Set (AREASE) elements.
Area Set (AREASE)
Area Set (AREASE) elements are owned by AREAWL elements. These elements are administrative elements used to define the area structure and can own a number of Area Set (AREASE) or Area Definition (AREADE) elements.
Area Definition (AREADE)
Area Definition (AREADE) elements are owned by AREASE elements. These elements are container elements for area definition primitives and can own primitive elements.
Primitives
Primitives are used to define the limits of the area definition. For example, a cube (BOX) element or a cylinder (ACYLIN) element. The volume within the primitive can be used to
identify model elements
or modify the representation of laser survey data.
