: Applications
Applications
Model is divided into a number of functional applications which enables a full sized three dimensional model to be defined in the design database, with selected views of the current state of the design shown on the graphics screen as the design progresses. To change to a different application on the top left of the window select the drop-down arrow next to
GENERAL
to display a drop-down list of all the available applications. Select the required application.
GENERAL
Allows you to view all the common functions of the different applications.
EQUIPMENT
Allows you to create and manipulate equipment that is available for all projects by associating it with a catalogue. Refer to
Equipment
for further information.
PIPING
Allows you to create, analyse and document logically interconnected piping networks. Refer to
Piping
for further information.
HVAC
Allows you to design and detail complex ducting networks within a full 3D environment, with the support of tools to produce a clash free design. Refer to
HVAC
for further information.
CABLING SYSTEM
Allows you to create or select cables from the catalogue, optionally connected to equipment, before being joined to a cableway and routed along a cableway. Refer to
Cable Design
for further information.
CABLE TRAY
Allows you to create a cable tray element and is added to the cableways either automatically or manually. Refer to
Cable Trays
for further information.
STRUCTURES
Allows you to create structural steelworks within a full 3D environment, with the support of tools to produce a clash free design. Refer to
Structural Design
for further information.
SUPPORTS
Allows you to create supports for piping, cable trays, (Both piping based cable trays (BRAN) and cable trays (CTRAY) created by the Cabling System) and HVAC. It is highly interactive, enabling you to design supports with the minimum of effort. Refer to
Supports
for further information.
DESIGN TEMPLATES
Allows you to create a design template by creating an instance of the template in the DESIGN DB. When a design template is instanced, the template contents are copied into the design hierarchy; they can then be modified locally as required. Refer to
Design Templates
for further information.
