Automatic Matching of Off-Page Connectors
As part of the import process, Schematic Model Manager attempts to automatically match any off-page connectors (OPCs) in the imported diagrams with those of diagrams already in the Schematic database.
In order for two OPCs to be matched:
•
They must be of different types, i.e. one must be a SCOPCO (connector out) and the other must be a SCOPCI (connector in).
•
The data for each OPC includes a reference to a diagram that the other end of the connection (the other OPC) is located on. This is known as the Match Diagram.
The Match Diagram of one OPC must be the diagram on which the other OPC is located, and vice versa.
•
The data for each OPC includes a reference to a Match Attribute. This is a reference to an attribute of the other end of the connection. Each end of the connection must have the same Match Attribute.
•
The data for each OPC includes a Match Attribute Value. The Match Attribute Value for one end of the connection must be the value of that attribute at the other end of the connection, and vice versa.
•
The match must be unique.
For example, the OPCs with the following data would be matched automatically (assuming the connection is unique):
OPC Type & Diagram
SCOPCO on 905675
SCOPCI on 905677
