DRAW User Guide

CE	Click to identify the currently selected view as the working element.
Select
Add	Select the option button to add labels to the drawing.
Remove	Select the option button to remove labels from the drawing.
CE's Labels	Click to select an individual label or all labels in the current layer or view.
Owner's Labels	Click to select all labels for the owner of the CE.
List	Click to display the Select List window. Refer to Select List for further information.
Clear	Click to clear the current selection.
ID Label	Click to select a series of labels. You are prompted to Select Element
ID Design	Click to select a series of labels attached to the identified design element. You are prompted to Select Element
2D Window	Allows you to select all the labels within a cursor defined window. Click to display the Point Construction Option Form window. You are prompted to Input 2 point(s) on a sheet
Position
Remote	Allows you to place labels around the view border. Select the check box and click Definition to display the Remote Label Placement window. Refer to Remote Label Placement for further information.
Local	Allows you to place labels around significant design elements. Select the check box and click Definition to display the Local Label Placement window. Refer to Local Label Placement for further information.

No list defined	Select from the drop-down list to define a list for label placement or removal.
Update	Click to use the selected list to specify items for label replacement or removal.
Lists	Click to display the Lists/Collections window. Refer to Lists/Collections for further information.

Control
Save	Select from the drop-down menu to save the current settings.
Restore	Select from the drop-down menu to discard any changes and restore the settings of the Lists/Collections window to when it was opened.
Close	Select from the drop-down menu to close the Lists/Collections window.
Add
CE	Select from the drop-down menu to add the currently selected element to the list using the Drawlist Management window or the drawing canvas
CE Members	Select from the drop-down menu to add the currently selected element and associated child elements to the list using the Drawlist Management window or the drawing canvas.
Selection	Allows you to collect elements for the drawlist. Refer to Add Selection to Drawlist for further information.
List	Allows you to create a new list. Refer to Create a List for further information.
Current Claimlist	Select from the drop-down menu to create a drawlist from elements that are currently claimed.
Remove
CE	Select from the drop-down menu to remove the currently selected element from the list using the Drawlist Management window or from the drawing canvas.
CE Members	Select from the drop-down menu to remove the currently selected element and associated child elements from the list using the Drawlist Management window or the drawing canvas.
from List	Select from the drop-down menu to remove the currently selected item from the list.
All	Select from the drop-down menu to remove all items from the list
Selection	Allows you to collect elements for removal from the drawlist. Refer to Delete Selection from Drawlist for further information.
List	Select from the drop-down menu to delete the currently selected list and all associated items.
Format	Select Name from the drop-down list to display item names. Select Description from the drop-down list to display item descriptions.
	Select Name and Description from the drop-down list to display item names and descriptions. Item descriptions are enclosed in brackets.
Action	Click to action standard command syntax entered in the field at the bottom of the window. The command is applied to each element in the list. For example, input the command BY X 600 to move each element in the list 600mm along the X axis.

Selection	Input a value in the field to define the elements to be considered for selection. For example, input ALL to consider all elements or TYPE EQUI to consider equipment elements for selection.
with Rule	Input a valid PML expression to define the selection rule. For example, input TEMP GT 100 to consider elements that have a temperature attribute specified as greater than 100 for selection.
for Element	Select the option button to consider all elements for selection below a defined element. The element can be defined from the Current DB or All DBs using the drop-down list.
from List	Select the option button to consider elements for selection from an available drawlist using the drop-down list.
within 3D Volume	Select the check box to consider elements for selection within a defined volume. Input dimensional values in the directional fields to define the coordinates of two opposing corners of the defined volume. The direction can be defined in East, West, North, South, Up and Down directions using the drop-down lists.
wholly in Volume	Select the check box to consider elements for selection that are wholly positioned within a defined volume. Input dimensional values in the directional fields to define the coordinates of two opposing corners of the defined volume. The direction can be defined in East, West, North, South, Up and Down directions using the drop-down lists.
Use 3D Cursor	Click to consider elements for selection within a defined volume using a cursor pick in the 3Dview.
Use DRAFT View Limits	Click to consider elements for selection in the currently selected view.

Region	Select the check box to define a rectangular region that encloses the labels. Input the coordinates of the region in the X and Y fields.
Cursor	Click to define the rectangular region that encloses the labels using a cursor pick on the drawing canvas. The Point Construction Option Form window displays. You are prompted to Input 2 point(s) on a sheet
View Margin	Select the check box to define the label margin for the current view boundary. Input the value of the margin in the field.
Minimum gap between labels	Input a value in the field to define the minimum gap between labels.
Use
Top	By default all four sides on the view border are used to spread labels. Deselect the relevant check boxes to omit a side.

Right
Bottom
Automatic Orientation	Select the check box to allow automatic rotation of labels at the top and bottom sides of the view boundary

X Offset	Select the check box to spread offset labels from their attachment points with defined X offset and Y offset values. Input offset values in the X offset and Y offset fields.
Y Offset
Same	Select the check box to use the same value for the X offset and Y offset. Note: Input a value in either the X offset or Y offset field and press Enter or click OK. The remaining field automatically updates with the entered value. Deselect the check box to use different values for the X offset and Y offset.
Radius	Select the check box to spread offset labels from their attachment points with defined radius and angle values. Input a value in the Radius field and a value in the Angle field.
