SLH Tools : Split Handrails

The Split Handrails functionality allows the user to split the handrail assembly when it intersects with another element or graphical aid in the 3D graphical view and as a result creates new handrail elements.

Note:

It is not possible to split a handrail where it changes direction.

If the CE is not a handrail element, the user receives an error message:

Once CE is a handrail element, from the Stairs Ladders Handrails tab, in the Tools group, click Split Handrails, the following Confirm window is displayed:

Click Yes the user is prompted to ‘Pick element or aid graphic to split handrail’.

Click No to discard any inputs and close the Confirm window.

Once the element is selected the handrail is split either side of the picked element or graphical aid. Two handrails are now displayed in the model explorer.

Note:

Panel handrails and those handrails created in Layout can only be split with the use of the Split Handrails functionality.
