Structural Design User Guide

On the Plates tab, in the Tools group, click Split to display the Split Steel window. The procedure to split a panel is identical to that of splitting structural elements, refer to for more information.

The user can only split a panel along the axis of an element that already exists. To introduce a split line anywhere else, simply create a section where the user want the split to occur, split the panel, then delete the section.
