The representation of a panel or negative extrusion can be modified, during the creation of a panel or negative extrusion, the defaults for representation is displayed in the Representation part of the Create Panel or Create Negative Extrusion windows.

On the PLATES tab, in the Modify group, click Panels, select Representation from the drop-down list to display the Modify Representation window.

From the Modify Representation window, the user can modify the level and obstruction which affect the way elements are displayed in the 3D view and how they are dealt with when checking for clashes between design elements.
