Add and Modify Drawing Objects
The user can amend drawing sheets by adding and modifying drawing objects such as lines and circles (primitives).
When a 2D drafting element such as a primitive is added to a Sheet or View that does not own any Sheet Note or View Note elements, a new note is automatically created. The 2D drafting element is automatically placed under the new note.
If the Sheet/View owns a single note, the new element is automatically placed under that note.
If the Sheet/View owns multiple notes, the new element is added either to the currently selected note (for example, in the Draw Explorer) or to the first note listed in the Draw Explorer if none is selected.
Drawing commands are initiated by selecting the required command from the tabs, typically the Draw tab. Many commands are also found on the Home tab.
The next step required to continue with a command displays as a prompt on the cursor:

For example, the current cartesian coordinates of the cursor, polar coordinates (distances and angles relative to a selected point), angles and lengths of measurements (radius).
The current cartesian coordinates of the cursor also display in the bottom right-hand corner of the DRAW window.
To switch the display of polar coordinates on and off, select or de-select Polar tracking on/off on the Status Bar, or press F10.
To switch the display of non-coordinate related information on and off, select or de-select Dynamic hints on/off on the Status Bar, or by pressing F12.
The prompt can display alternative instructions to continue with a command. For example:
In the example, the user can either click the next vertex of the cloud, or press C and press Enter to link the two ends of the cloud with an automatically drawn arc and end the command.
The user can press the down arrow key to select additional options and continue the command. Additional options display. For example:
The user can press Enter to select the default option, which is indicated by text <in brackets>.
In the example, the user has started to draw a hexagon using the Hexagon End-Point option, in which the centre-to-point radius of the shape is specified (refer to Draw Hexagons for further information).
When the command is initiated the user can instead proceed using one of the other methods to draw a hexagon: either select Diameter to specify the diameter, or select Median to specify the centre-to-side radius.
