Create Drawing Sheets and Support Elements : Create Departments, Registries and Drawings : Create Drawing from Drawing Type and Template
To create a drawing from a drawing type and template, on the Home tab, in the Project group, click New, select Drawing Type from the drop-down list to display the available Drawing Types and Templates.
Select Drawing from the available Drawing Types.
Select a Template Type from the drop-down list to filter the available Templates.
The Create Drawing window is very similar to the Hierarchy Browser window. Refer to Create Departments, Registries and Drawings with the Hierarchy Browser Window or Open Window.
The user can browse the hierarchy to select the registry that the drawing is to be created in. Either input a name in the Name field, or leave it blank if the drawing is to be assigned a default name.
Click Create to create the drawing or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Create Drawing window
