Pipe Stress Interface Window : Stress Zones

To create a new default stress zone in the Model Explorer hierarchy, make sure the relevant Site element is highlighted.

From the main menu, select Create > Zone, the Create Zone window is displayed.

Note:

Only default zones with Purpose set to Pipe Stress Interface are displayed in the Default Creation Zone window (PSI is the default selection for Stress Zones; this can be modified in the Pipe Stress Interface Defaults window, refer to Pipe Stress Interface Administration Guide).

Make sure the drop-down list, select the Name, in the right hand box enter a name for the default stress zone, or select the Autoname option.

Note:

There must be no spaces in the Stress Group name.

From the Purpose drop-down list, select PSI Pipe Stress Interface.

To set the attributes for the zone, click Attributes. The Attributes window is displayed.

Modify the attributes as required, click Apply to accept the changes and close the window and return to the Create Zone window.

Click OK. The user is returned to the Pipe Stress Interface window, refer to Pipe Stress Interface Window.

To discard any inputs and close the Create Zone window, click Cancel.

If an incorrect default stress zone is displayed in the Pipe Stress Interface window, click Reselect Stress Zone. The Default Create Zone window is displayed.

Select the correct default creation zone and click OK. The Pipe Stress Interface window is displayed for the selected default zone, refer to Pipe Stress Interface Window.
