Encryption Type 1: Trivial Encryption
Encryption Type 1 (Trivial Encryption) is designed for testing purposes only. It provides no security, as you can read the lines slowly (backwards), but you can use it to check that the decryption system is functioning correctly, and that, for example, an incompatible version of the software has not been installed.

It can be selected by the
-trivial
option.
For example, the line:
$p Decryption not available $*$
will be interpreted as a comment when read backwards as part of a trivially encrypted file, but will print a message if run on a version of the software that does not support any decryption. This encryption type does not support utf-8 files.
