Branch Reinforcements

To create a branch reinforcement, on the Supports tab, in the Create group, click Branch Reinforcements to display the Ancillaries - Branch Reinforcements window.

Enter a name of the support to be created or click Autoname. If a legal name is entered, OK on the window becomes active. Refer to the MDS Administrator Guide for further information.

Select the standard support type required.

At any time when the Branch Reinforcement window is displayed, the user can click View to see the engineering drawing corresponding to the selected support.

This example demonstrates how to create a support type XBR01.

Click Create datum support atta at the top of the window.

Notice that the positioning fields are deactivated. The branch reinforcement is positioned through a series of prompted identification picks.

For this branch reinforcement standard, a header tube is required. In this case it is one of the following:

Select a header tube.

At the prompt, identify a second branch tube. This forms the vertical leg of the tube.

The application then performs a series of Integrity Checks to make sure the support is completed.
