Project Upgrade for MDS Defaults : Details of the Utility : MDS12 Upgrade - LOG File
The MDS12 upgrade utility will generate its own LOG file detailing the actions performed during the MDS12 upgrade.
The LOG file will be created and located in the MDS12-DEFAULTS directory found in the project information directory defined in the evar %<project code>INFO%, and found in the normal project directory structure, e.g. for a project code of TWD the information directory would be located in …/<project directory>/twd/twdinfo/MDS12-DEFAULTS. If the MDS12-DEFAULTS directory does not exist, it will automatically be created along with the LOG file
If the project information directory defined in the project evar %<project code>INFO%, does not exist the LOG file will automatically be created in the directory %AVEVA_DESIGN_USER%/MDS12-DEFAULTS. If the MDS12-DEFAULTS directory does not exist, it will automatically be created along with the LOG file
The LOG file for a project code of TWD will typically be named as shown below;
%TWDINFO%/MDS12-DEFAULTS\MDS-DEFAULTS-CONVERSION-to-CATA-DB-31Jan2006-154739.pmllog
%AVEVA_DESIGN_USER%/MDS12-DEFAULTS\MDS-DEFAULTS-CONVERSION-to-CATA-DB-31Jan2006-154739.pmllog
IMPORTANT NOTE: The date and time the MDS12 upgrade commenced will always be appended to the name of the LOG file.
For Reference ONLY - A copy of a typical example of a MDS12 Upgrade LOG file can be found in the MDS12 release directory i.e.
