Equipment : Equipment Report

The Equipment Report facility allows the user to view and sort the Attributes of the Current Element.

On the Equipment tab, in the Report group, click Equipment to display the Equipment Report window.

There are three stages to populating and viewing the report:

Define the Attributes to appear in the report, which is done within the Columns tab. Attributes that the user places in the Chosen Attributes list appear in the report, under the Output tab.

•

View and sort the report, which is done within the Output tab.

•

Save and view the report in excel.

Click the Columns tab to display all of the Attributes and values for the current element. The Chosen Attributes list appears empty, the user can select Attributes from the Available Attributes list. The available attributes are: Attribute, Description, Data Type, Report Header.

Select the required report from the Report Type drop-down list.


Equipment	Displays the Available Attributes for an Equipment Report
Nozzles	Displays the Available Attributes for a Nozzles Report
Electrical Component	Displays the Available Attributes for an Electrical Component Report

Select the required report from the Scope drop-down list.


All	Generates the report from all elements.
Current Element	Generates the report from the current element.

Select the Pseudo Attributes check box to display the pseudo names rather than the system names for each attribute.

Select the Attributes to Appear in the Report

The Available Attributes list of the Column tab displays all of the attributes available for the report.

The Chosen Attributes list of the Column tab displays all of the attributes included in the report. The user can move attributes from the Available Attributes list into the Chosen Attributes list.

Click an Attribute to highlight it. To select more than one attribute:

Click the first of a series of attributes and then using the [SHIFT] key select the last attribute in the series. The group of adjacent attributes is highlighted.

•

Click on an attribute and using the [CTRL] key select another non-adjacent attribute. Repeat to highlight other non-adjacent attributes.

Once the user has highlighted the attributes to appear in the report, click the arrows to move the attributes.


	Includes the highlighted attributes in the report.
	Includes all attributes in the report.
	Removes the highlighted attributes from the report.
	Removes all attributes from the report.

Sort Attributes in the Report

The Chosen Attributes list of the Column tab allows the user to change the order of the list of chosen attributes.


	Moves the currently selected attribute to the top of the Chosen Attributes list.
	Moves the currently selected attribute up one place in the Chosen Attributes list.
	Moves the currently selected attribute down one place in the Chosen Attributes list.
	Moves the currently selected attribute to the bottom of the Chosen Attributes list.

View and Sort the Report

Once list of chosen attributes is populated, the user can view and sort the report.

Select the Output tab to generate the report, based on the attributes listed in the Chosen Attributes list of the Column tab.

The report can be manipulated to show the attributes in a variety of ways:

Grouped

•

Filtered

Group Attributes in the Report

The top part of the Output tab contains a header field that allows the user to group attributes by column headings.

To set the grouping criteria click on a column heading and drag it on to the header field. The report changes to display the unique items that appear within the selected column. Against each of these appears a ‘plus’ icon which, when selected, expands to show the items that have that item in common.

To remove the grouping select the column heading from the header field and drop it on to the list underneath.

Filter Attributes in the Report

Each column heading may be filtered to show entries that match the filter criteria. Select

to display the pulldown list of filter criteria options.

To filter a column, select

on the column heading to display the drop-down filter list. Select the required filter criteria from the list. The report changes to show the results of the filter selection.

Save the Report

When the report is in the format required it can be saved to excel by clicking Export to Excel. A Save As window displays, allowing the user to name and select a location for the file. Click Save to export the report.
