The hatch pattern is composed of either Solid Fill, or one or two sets of lines all the same colour. The lines within a set are all parallel and equally spaced, and can only be straight, solid, and of a single-line thickness. Cross-hatching can be created using two sets of lines that are not parallel. Double-line hatching can be created using two sets of lines that are parallel.

The parameters that define each set of lines (that is, angle, separation, offset from sheet origin) are absolute, that is, they are unaffected by factors such as Sheet size, View scale, or View orientation. Refer to Fill Styles for further information.

Note:

Hatching in Isometric Views may not be entirely satisfactory. For example, there is no way of altering the hatching parameters to suit the orientation of the face hatched, and so the faces created by a stepped section plane will all be hatched at the same angle and separation for a given Design element. The hatching of two connected faces will be continuous even though the faces will have different orientations in 3D space.
