The database MASTER/PIPECATA, in the AVEVA sample data project
MAS, contains a number of predefined surface treatments, for example in the
Paragon Module, from main menu bar select
Utilities > Surface Treatment > Define to display the
Surface Treatment definition window:
Surface treatments are referenced by Design elements through the attributes Inprtref and
Ouprtref representing the
inside surface treatment and the
outside surface treatment respectively. Only elements with these attributes can have a surface treatment assigned to them.
The Surface Treatments section is used to create a list of allowable surface treatments which is used when defining the specifications.
The options at the bottom of the Surface Treatments section provide the following functions:
The Create,
Copy and
Delete options are also available from the right-click options menu.
The Paint Definition section is used to define a list of allowable paints. Each entry in the
List of PAINT elements can be referenced by one or more entries in the surface treatment specification.
The Create,
Copy and
Refresh options (also available from the right-click options menu) perform similar functions to the Surface Treatment options.
The Selected Coatings section is used to specify the paint coatings that are required for the Surface Treatment, and the order in which they are to be applied.
Specify the coating Thickness (this is the Dry Film Thickness in microns) and click
Update. The value is copied to the
THICKNESS (MICRONS) field in the
Selected Coatings list.
The Move Coating arrow icons are used to change the order in which the coatings appear in the Selected Coatings list (such as the order in which the coatings are to be applied). The
Move Coating operations are also available from the right-click options menu. There are also options for removing a selected coating or all coatings.
