On the Home tab, in the
Common group, click
Copy Element, select
With Offset from the drop-down list to display the
Copy with Offset window.
To specify the offsets as being the same as those between two existing design items, use the Offset menu options to measure the required distances. Use the submenus to specify the type of element the user wants to measure
from and the type of element the user wants to measure
to. The choices in each case are:
Select the required options from the Offset menu and, when prompted, pick the two points between which the offset is to be measured. The calculated distances is entered in the
Offset X,Y,Z text boxes automatically.
Click Apply to create the three offset copies, the user is prompted to confirm if the user wants to retain the copies (if it is correct in the graphical view).
Click Cancel to discard any changes and to exit the
Copy with Offset window.
Click Zoom to Selection in the 3D view control tiles and on the
3D View tab, in the
Manipulate group, click
Isometric, select
Iso 3 from the drop-down list, so that the whole of the current design can be seen.
The Model Explorer now displays which elements have now been created and where they fit into the hierarchy.
