When the user enters dimensional data in any window, the units applied are taken from default settings. The default units are specified independently for each unit type. To change the default units, on the Project tab, click Options, click System, click Units to display the Current Session Units window.

Select a unit format from the right hand pane and click Set Distance Unit.

After the user clicks Set Distance Unit, an example of the chosen unit is displayed.

Click Project Defaults to reset any changes made by the user back to the project default settings.

Depending on the permissions set by the project administrator, the User Settings, Save and Restore can be active or disabled. If active, Save allows the user to save any changes made during a session to a file. Click Restore during a session changes the unit settings back to the user saved settings. If disabled, the user can still change the unit formats in the current session. When the user ends the session the unit format reverts back the project default settings.
