Select Create > Catalogue to display the
Create Catalogue window. Refer to
Create Catalogue for further information. Create a new Steelwork Catalogue in the database hierarchy with the purpose set to STL.
Select Create > Section to display the
Create Structural Section window. Refer to
Create Section for further information. Create a new Steelwork Section in the database hierarchy with the purpose set to STL.
Select Create > Category > for Profiles to display the
Create Structural Category window. The
Create Structural Category window is similar in layout to a standard
Create Category window, but contains additional sub windows specific to Steelwork Profiles.
Referring to Parameter Definitions, create a set of parameters with the following
Descriptions:
Click Element in the
Model References part of the window to display the
References sub window.
Click Apply to commit the changes or
Back to return to the main Category window.
Refer to Understanding Parameters for a detailed explanation of Parameters.
Click Geometry Ref in the
Model References part of the window to display the
Geometry References sub window.
All geometry sub forms have Component Visibility, Drawing Level and Obstruction options, these are used to control the way the geometry behaves in the 3D view and with other geometry when created.
Selecting SREC will display input criteria for a Structural Rectangle (SREC) as follows:
Selecting SANN will display input criteria for a Structural Annulus (SANN).
Selecting SPRO will display input criteria for a Structural Profile (SPRO).
Click OK to complete adding points and return to the Structural Profile (SPRO) sub window.
Click Plinesref in the
Model References part of the window to display the
Pline Definitions sub window.
Click Data Ref in the
Model References part of the window to display the
Data References sub window.
