Selecting Create Script from the
Admin Elements form displays the
Command Script Generation window which allows the generation of encrypted command scripts.
The Command Script Generation window requires the user to enter and confirm the correct password for the specified user, and input or select via
Browse an output filename. MDB selection is optional, as is the selection of an input command script.
To apply a set of Environmental conditions the user must check the box next to
Conditions and then click
Conditions to display the
Command Scripts Conditions window.
A set of Allowed Windows Users and a set of
Allowed Host Computers can be added by entering the names into the relevant textbox. Optionally a full or partial time period can be specified using the
Before and
After checkboxes and date controls. Clicking
OK records the specified conditions to be applied or edited later.
On clicking OK in the
Command Script Generation window an encrypted command script is written to the output filename specified (with confirmation if that file exists). If no Input script has been specified the generated script must be called from within an enclosing PML script using
$M syntax; in this case it is necessary that the calling PML script exit when its operation is complete, otherwise the remaining interactive session will terminate with a fatal error when an attempt is made to enter any command. If an Input script is specified then the generated script is complete and can be executed directly.
