Setting Up a New Project
A project is identified by a three-letter project code. In the following example the code ABC is used.
The stages in setting up a project are as follows:
1.
Set the environment variables for the project.
2.
Run the scripts and macros supplied with the product.
3.
Enter AVEVA E3D™ as SYSTEM, and start to create Users, Teams, Databases and MDBs in the project. Note that before this stage can be started, you should plan the requirements of your project, as described in Designing a Project.
A project can also be identified by an 8 character alphanumeric code refer to Long Project Identifier for further information.
