Stairs Ladders and Handrails Administrator Guide

Name	Input a name for the new Tread Template in the field.
Description	The administrator can input a description into the optional field. If populated, the description displays in the list of administration tasks.
Name sub-elements	Select the check box for the SLH application to name new elements by default.
Tread Type	Select the Stair radio button to create a Tread Template for a Stair Flight. Select the Step Ladder radio button to create a Tread Template for a Step Ladder.

Tread Width	Select the Variable radio button to input a Default value in the Default field. Select the Fixed radio button to input a Fixed value in the Value field.
Tread Depth	Select the Variable radio button to input a Default value in the Default field. Select the Fixed radio button to input a Fixed value in the Value field.
Tread Thickness	Input a value to define the tread thickness for the template.
Back Height	Input a value to define the back height for the template.
Back Thickness	Input a value to define the back thickness for the template.
Front Height	Input a value to define the front height for the template.
Front Thickness	Input a value to define the front thickness for the template.
End Height	Input a value to define the end height for the template.
End Thickness	Input a value to define the end thickness for the template.
End Offset from Front	Input a value to define the gap between the front of the tread to the end plates. To remove the end offset from front element from the template, click to clear the Included check box.
End Offset from Back	Input a value to define the gap between the back of the tread to the end plates. To remove the end offset from back element from the template, click to clear the Included check box.
End Chamfer	Input a value to define the end chamfer for the template. To remove the end chamfer element from the template, click to clear the Included check box.
Tread Bend Radius	Input a value to define the tread bend radius for the template. To remove the tread bend radius element from the template, click to clear the Included check box.

Add	Click to add a profile to the Profiles list.
Remove	Click to remove a profile from the Profiles list.
Replace	Click to replace the currently selected profile in the Profiles list.
Specification	Click Select to display the Profile for tread template window. The functionality available from the Profile for tread template window is identical to that available from the Top Rail Specification window. Refer to Handrail Profile Specification for further information. The selected Profile Type and Profile Size values display in the Profile column of the Profiles list. The selected P-Line Justification value displays in the Justification column of the Profiles list.
Angle of Rotation	Input a value to define the rotation angle for the profile. The Angle of Rotation value displays in the Rotation column of the Profiles list.
Configuration	Select a configuration from the drop-down list to specify the profile type. This is only a label, it does not affect the geometry of the profile. The selected Configuration value displays in the Description column of the Profiles list.
Start Point	Select a start point from the drop-down list to define the start p-point position for the profile. The selected Start Point value displays in the Start column of the Profiles list.
End Point	Select an end point from the drop-down list to define the end p-point position for the profile. The selected End Point value displays in the End column of the Profiles list.
Flip	Click Flip to display swap values of the Start Point and End Point drop-down lists.

Add	Click to add a plate to the Plates list.
Remove	Click to remove a plate from the Plates list.
Replace	Click to replace the currently selected plate in the Plates list.
Plate Type	Select a type from the drop-down list to define the p-point positions of the plate. The selected Plate Type values display in the Description and Points columns of the Plates list, the SLH application automatically updates the thickness and orientation to reflect the selected plate type.
Plate Thickness	The Plate Thickness value displays in the Thickness column of the Plates list.
Plate Orientation	The Plate Orientation value displays in the Orientation column of the Profiles list.
