Create and Modify Representation Styles
Select the Rep. Rules tab to display the current user-defined representation styles for the drawing.
Representation Styles
The Representation Styles part of the Representation and Hatch Rules window allows you to add and remove representation styles.
 
Add
Click to create a representation style. A new representation style with a default name and attributes is created and added to the list of available representation styles.
Remove
Click to delete the currently selected representation style.
To modify the currently selected representation style, you can modify the attributes that display in the lower sections of the Representation and Hatch Rules window.
Representation Colour and Style
The Representation Colour and Style part of the Representation and Hatch Rules window allows you to select the line styles and colours for the six available line types.
 
Click to display the colour and line style drop-down lists for a line type.
Click to remove the colour and line style drop-down lists for a line type from the display.
You can select a colour and line style from the drop-down lists for each available line type.
Representation Flags
The Representation Flags part of the Representation and Hatch Rules window allows you to define the display of a number of design items.
 
Tube
Select the check box to display all pipes.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all pipes.
Obstructions
Select the check box to display all obstructions.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all obstructions.
Profile
Select the check box to display all steelwork profiles.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all steelwork profiles.
Piping Symbols
Select the check box to display all piping symbols.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all piping symbols.
Insulation
Select the check box to display all insulation.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all insulation.
P-Lines
Select the check box to display all steelwork stick build representation.
De-select the check box to suppress the display of all steelwork stick build representation.
Representation Rules
The Representation Rules part of the Representation and Hatch Rules window allows you to define representation rules.
 
No HLR
Select the check box to remove Hidden Line Representation.
Omission
Select the check box to apply Omission rules for the representation.
Symbol
Select the check box to display 2D Symbolic representation.
To apply the currently selected representation style to design items, click Select Items.
You are prompted to Select design item
Click to identify the required items.
Note:
You can click to deselect a selected item.
When all required items have been selected, press Enter.The selected representation style is then applied to the items.
To apply the currently selected representation style to design items and to their significant owners, click Select Owners.
You are then prompted to Select design owner
