DRAW User Guide

Opens a drawing sheet from a selection in the database hierarchy.

Note:

To create sheets and views, refer to Create Drawing Sheets and Support Elements and Create Views for further information.

The Open window displays the database hierarchy. The functionality of the Open window is the same as the Hierarchy Browser window, except as described. Refer to Create Departments, Registries and Drawings with the Hierarchy Browser Window or Open Window for further information.

The Open window allows you to browse for the required sheet.

The Search Project field finds any elements of the appropriate type with a name that contains the search fragment (anywhere in the name). Prefixing the search fragment with a forward slash '/' to indicate the ‘name begins with’ results in a faster search.

Note:

Generally the name search is not case sensitive. However, the 'name begins with' search is case sensitive, although fully capitalised element names are still matched upon.

The list in the lower-right corner of the window allows you to restrict the window display to thumbnails for a selected type of element.

Sheets are listed in the right-hand part of the Open window. Select the required sheet, or input a name in the Name field, and click Open.

Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the Open window.
