Update
: System Update
System Update
Updates the database specifically, as opposed to the routine updating that occurs from time to time in normal use.
Picture Files
Updates picture files to recover from file corruption, or if an attempt has been made to display a view created using a previous version of DRAW.
Annotation graphics are always restored but design graphics can not be restored. In all cases, a message alert displays instructing you to proceed with the update operation, this is the only time that the update should be processed.
Backing Sheets
Manually updates backing sheets with database changes.
Update Template Instances
Updates template instances and updates all parts of picture files in the database hierarchy that use the graphics ‘instancing’ mechanism.
Cross-Database Reference Attributes
Updates cross-database reference attributes and updates all DRAW element attributes that refer to elements in the Design database. The settings of the attributes exist as database reference numbers.
The update function operates on the current element. It should only be used if the Design database has been deleted and rebuilt from macros.
Cross-Database Name Attributes
DRAW elements with attributes that refer to elements in the Design database (the settings of which exist as database reference numbers) also have (hidden) text attributes set to the names of the referenced elements. You can update the latter attributes, using the settings of the associated reference attributes.
The update function operates on the current element. It should only be used if the Design database has been deleted and rebuilt from macros.
