EXTERNAL
Description:
Allows the user to send to a specified data server any valid text string which represents a command to read from, or write to, a database.

Example:
EXTERNAL SEND $!!MAINT ’select * from maintdata’
This sends the specified text string to the data server whose channel token is stored in the variable !!MAINT.
