Schematic 3D Integrator User Guide

Work Area : Report

Integrator compares selected 3D elements against their corresponding schematic elements and report any inconsistencies in connectivity or attributes according to easily configured rules (called configurations for the administrator or checks for the user) in an Integrator report window. Which checks are carried out are determined by which configuration is selected in the Compare group on the INTEGRATOR tab. Refer to Configurations for further information.

The Integrator Report window has explorer tree, information panel which displays the summary or details of the inconsistencies and an Integrator Comments window displaying additional information.

Icons give an immediate indication of where there are differences to be reported. The specific differences are reported on the Summary or Details tab (Summary tab displayed by default).

Use the Integrator Report to explore, view, filter, save and act on the report content. Refer to Main Functions for further information on the Compare functionality.

File Drop-down Menu

Use the File menu to view all referenced diagrams, views, open, save, export to Excel, print and redo the comparison.


View All Referenced Diagrams	Opens all diagrams relating to the report content. Each diagram opens in a separate tab in the Diagram Viewer.
Properties	Displays the Integrator Report Properties window, refer to Integrator Report Properties for further information.
Redo Compare	Repeats the compare of the same elements.
Open	Opens a file browser dialogue which allows the user to open a previously saved XML report. The report will be opened in the Compare Report form.
Save As	Opens a file browser dialogue which allows the user to save the report as an XML dataset or as an HTML file using a stylesheet. Stylesheets (files with extension .xsl) should be placed in the %<proj>dflts%\modelmanagement folder.
Export Details to Excel	Opens a file browser dialogue which allows the user to export the contents of the Details tab to Excel, providing the key results of the comparison, including the side by side matches and the error comments, in a form that can be distributed to a wider audience.
Print Details	Opens a Print dialogue which allows the user to print the contents of the Details tab.
Close	Closes the report.

Integrator Report Properties

The Integrator report properties are stored using its current settings, thus allowing the Integrator report to be opened at a later date and the results interpreted in context.

Note:

A new report or a redo of an old report always uses the current settings at the time it is run, so the latest version of the configuration is used.

The Integrator Report Properties window are displayed on three tabs, Properties, Categories and Compare Colours. Each tab displays the information relevant to each, these are set up and maintained by the system administrator. The Properties tab is displayed by default.

Edit Drop-down Menu

Use the Edit menu to copy all to the 3D view, link all matched elements and find the CE in the Integrator Report.


Copy All to 3D	Copy all attribute values to 3D for all matched or linked elements
Link all matched elements	Link all unambiguously matched elements (note this function will not link matched elements if they have an In Wrong Location or a Sequence Difference error)
Find CE in Report	Focus the report on the current element (if it appears in the report)

View Drop-down Menu

Use the View menu to refresh schematic and 3D views. set limits, filter elements, highlight, zoom to and refresh the Integrator.


Refresh Schematic & 3D Views	Re-apply the compare rules colours to the Diagram View and 3D View.
Set Limits	Sets the 3D View limits to encompass all the 3D elements in the Integrator Report window.
The following nine menu options turn on or turn off the functionality:
Significant Elements Only	To display the significant elements from the Integrator Report window, click Significant Elements Only.
Differences and Errors Only	To display the differences and errors from the Integrator Report window, click Differences and Error Only.
Highlight on Diagram	To highlight the CE on the schematic diagram, click Highlight on Diagram.
Zoom to Diagram Selection	To zoom to the CE on the schematic diagram, click Zoom to Diagram Selection.
Navigate to Schematic Element	To navigate to the
Highlight in 3D View	To highlight the CE in the 3D view, click Highlight in 3D View.
Zoom to 3D Selection	Zoom to the CE in the 3D view.
Navigate to 3D Element	Navigate to the CE in the 3D view.
Show Equipment Translucent	Displays the equipment as translucent in the 3D view.
Clear Link Selection	Clear the CE for linking.
Go To	Pages forward or backward.
Forward	Moves to the next difference in the Integrator report.
Back	Moves to the previous difference in the Integrator report.
Clear History	Clears the history
Refresh	Updates attribute values in the report from the database.

Report Toolbar

Use the Report tool bar for quick access to the functionality available from the View menu, with the exception of the Summary functionality

Integrator Comments Toolbar

Use the Integrator toolbar to control the displayed attributes of entries in the Integrator Comments window.


	Differences and Errors Only	Displays the Differences and Errors only in the Integrator Comments window.
	Attributes common to Schematic & 3D	Displays the attributes common to the schematic and 3D elements in the Integrator Comments window
	Categorised	Categorises the entries in the Integrator Comments window
	Categorised (Extended)	Extends the categories in the Integrator Comments window
	Alphabetic	Displays the entries in the Integrator Comments window alphabetically
	Copy to 3D	Copies an entry from the Integrator Comments window to the 3D view.
	Copy All to 3D	Copies all the entries from the Integrator Comments window to the 3D view.
	Refresh	Refreshes the Integrator Comments window

Integrator Report click menus

The right click menus are available by clicking the right hand mouse button within the Integrator Report window. There will be different options available depending on whether the object is linked, matched or neither.


Navigate	Sets the object in the right click menu as the current element.
Unlink	Unlinks an object. Only available when the object is already linked.
Build	Builds a missing object in 3D. Only available when the object has not been linked or matched.
Link	Link an object to its match. Only available when the object has been matched but not linked.
Connections	Navigate to connected object or focus the report on connected object
Select for Linking	Select this object for linking - its name will be displayed in the report status bar
Link matched elements	Link the matched elements
Accept missing element	Accepts the CE as a missing element in the Integrator report
Disable matching	Disables all matching in the Integrator report
Accept ALL Differences	Accepts all differences displayed in the Integrator report.

Update a Value from the Report

When a mismatch in an attribute value is reported, the correct value can be updated to 3D, refer to Main Functions for further information.

Open Integrator Report File

Use the Integrator Report File window to navigate to a Integrator report file(s).

Colour Key

Displays how the different conditions are identified using colours in the schematic drawing and the 3D model.
