Piping

Snap distance	Sets the default snap distance (the minimum distance between the end of a component and the placement of a new component between which an automatic connection occurs) when creating a component. The selection is connected to the nearest component if placed within the set snap distance. The default is 2 * OD.
Use tube tolerance	Uses a pre-set Data Consistency specific tube length to ensure the pipe is placed correctly.
Minimum tube length	Sets the minimum tube distance between two components, the default is 100mm. Note: The Data Consistency window must be used to set up the minimum tube lengths for different bore sizes.

Note: If the Snap Distance and Min Tube check boxes are selected, the tube tolerance check options (Datacon) are used.
Auto align	Newly created components are aligned to the previous component automatically.
Auto create	The software determines if there is a requirement for associated components by default (for example, the associated components for a valve are a gasket and a flange).
Select adjacent out of specification	An alternative specification component can be used.
Skip connected components	The piping application determines which components are connected, then positions the creation point approximately.
Multiple slope functionality	Displays the point direction option on the Piping Component Editor window.
Non standard branch connections	Sets the defaults for the non-standard branch connections.
Boss connections not allowed in tube	For pipe tappings, specifies the boss type connections (for example, olets, half couplings, welded bosses) that can only be used on fittings and excluded from the tube.

Sort piping specification list	Sorts the piping specification list alphabetically.
Auto create gaskets and flanges at branch	On creation of a component, gaskets and flanges are automatically created.

Descriptions	Sets the display of the Description in the Component Type List from the Select and Reselect tabs.
Tag component	Sets the display value for the component tag in the 3D graphical view.
Tag constraints	When a component is selected, adjacent constrained components are highlighted in the 3D graphical view.
Auto reconnect	Reconnects components that are modified using the Reselect tab. Reconnection errors display in the Errors tab.
Reconnect free ends	Reconnects the branch head or branch tail if reselection of a component results in disconnection.
Ignore positioned	Ignores positioned components. Positioned components will normally not be moved when reconnected.

Direction rounding	Rounds to an orthogonal direction (ENUWSD) for each component from the laser pick.
Tolerance	Tolerance of the direction.

Default ISO view

Sets the default ISO view of elements displayed in the 3D graphical view. The ISO view updates depending on the type of the current project as well as the coordinate system. If the current project is PLANT and the coordinates are ENU, the default ISO view is North. If the current project is PLANT and the coordinates are XYZ, the default ISO view is Y. If the current project is MARINE and the coordinates are ENU, the default ISO view is East. if the current project is MARINE and the coordinates are XYZ, the default ISO view is X.
