Framework Template Administration : Project Special Templates : Storage Areas

It is mandatory that project special templates zones are stored in an APPLDW named /SUPPORT/FRAMES/SPECIALS/{name}.

Three zones are required to store the project special structure templates. Name them as follows to enable the Supports application to recognise the appropriate discipline templates:

•

/SUPPORT/SPECIALS/{name}/PIPE, the PIPING template zone.

•

/SUPPORT/SPECIALS/{name}/HVAC, the HVAC template zone.

•

/SUPPORT/SPECIALS/{name}/TRAY, the Cable Tray template zone.

In the Supports application, if a discipline zone exists, for example, /SUPPORT/SPECIALS/BS/PIPE, the STRU elements are displayed in the Select Project Special Template window. Otherwise you are informed that the zone /SUPPORT/SPECIALS/BS/PIPE does not exist, and the Copy Project Special operation is aborted. If the zone exists but there are no STRU elements, an empty list displays on the Select Project Special Template window.

Note:

The application dataworld associated with special supports must have the purpose set to MDSS to be registered for use with the Supports application.
