Supports
Automatic Drawing Production
User Guide
Introduction
Introduction
Supports Drawings are created using the AVEVA Area Based Automatic Drawing Production (ADP) functionality within DRAW (referred to as ABA).
The purpose of this document is to provide you with guidance on how to produce supports drawings from the 3D model. A pre-requisite to using ADP for supports is that the Area Based ADP functionality has been configured by the administrator.
It is expected that you do not need full AVEVA product training in order to be able to use the functionality. However, a minimum level of knowledge is required to be able to enter and exit DRAW.
ADP allows you to produce drawings by selecting a support or supports and a template. In an example of a typical ADP work process, if the 3D model is changed for a maintenance project, the drawings used in that area can be updated. You can enter DRAW, select the area and reproduce all the drawings generated for that area.
The guide has been structured to take the you through all the steps required to produce new and modified drawings in a logical order. The information has been compiled in a format that allows you to reference a particular aspect of ADP to gain specific information.
