Defines the attribute transfer settings.
None
No attributes are transferred.
Set atts only
Only the attributes that are set are transferred. This can have a significant effect on the size of the transfer file. By default, empty property fields are ignored to reduce the size of the IFC file.
All atts, UDAs
All attributes, UDAs and information stored in DataSets created by the IFC import interface are transferred, even if the values are unset. A significantly larger transfer file is created
The term
attributes
refers to a set of different sources of attribute data: the code database attributes, user defined attributes and data contained in datasets. All IfcProperty elements imported from an IFC file are stored in datasets.
Attributes are transferred in the IFC file into IfcPropertySets. The IfcPropertySets recommended by the IFC standards organisation are not easy to use as much of the information in those sets is not available in the Dabacon database. Therefore, for the first phase of the interface, there are several AVEVA specific IfcPropertySets that contain the data - attributes, User Defined Attributes (UDAs), Design DataSets (DDSE) and Design Data elements (DDAT). This is in line with other providers of IFC files. In future releases of the product it is hoped to include a mechanism to allow definition of company specific IfcPropertySets.
One of nine combinations of geometry and attribute settings can potentially be selected.
