Options available in DGN Configuration Files
All options are Switches (prefixed with SWITCH) except GROUP and LEVEL.
Option
Value (default in bold)
Description
OutputFileName
Text string
Specifies a default filename to use for output. Usually over-ridden by the OUTPUTF/ILE command line option.
SeedFileName
Text string
Specifies a seed file name for use in the export. Must be a valid DGN8 file. Usually over-ridden by the SEEDF/ILE command line option.
ScaleFactor
A positive real number
1.0
Scale Factor applied to the entire exported file to enable full scale Design units to be output in the exported file, or to export to fit a different paper size. Usually known as ‘ScaleUp’.
LevelDefault
Text string
Level to be used as a default in the export, where a level is not otherwise specified.
LevelBack
Text string
Level to use for Backing Sheet. If not specified, LevelDefault is used.
ExcludeSheetFrame
ON,
OFF
Enables or disables exporting of the paper and view frames to the DGN file.
GROUP

Defines a Grouping rule.
LEVEL

Defines a Level rule.
GROUP Rules
Group rules are the equivalent of Block rules in an export to AutoCAD.
Example:
GROUP ALL EQUI, INCLUDE NAME
A group will be created for each equipment, which will be tagged with its name
LEVEL Rules
Level rules are analogous to Layer rules in an export to AutoCAD, but there is no need for a definition.
Example:
LEVEL ALL NOTE, 'ON Notes'

Deprecated Options
Draft supported many DGN options that were designed for use when exporting to DGN7 files. DRAW only supports export to DGN8 format, which renders these options redundant. If they are encountered in a configuration file, they will be ignored.
