Distance, Position and Bore Data Output
General
The format of distance, position and bore data generated by codewords is controlled by the UCOD attribute of the Layer element, or the appropriate Visual Style element.
UCOD FINCH BORES ACT
UCOD FI US BO NOM
UCOD FINCH DIST
set distance units to ‘AVEVA style’ feet and inches, for example, 5’5.13/16
UCOD FINCH US DIST
set distance units to ‘USA style’ feet and inches, for example, 5’-5 13/16”
UCOD INCH BORE
set bores in inches
UCOD CM DIST
set distances in centimetres
UCOD CM BORE
set bores in centimetres
UCODE FT DIST
set distances in feet
All intelligent text codewords generate the same format for ‘FINCH’ and ‘FINCH US’ units (as set in the UCOD attribute of the Layer or Style):
FINCH ():25’3.1/2
FINCH US:25’-3 1/2”
The INCH option can be qualified to allow different formats for distance, position, and bore values generated by intelligent text codewords. These are:
INCH USA
output of the form: 1/2” or 1 1/2” or 24
INCH
output of the form: 0.1/2 or 1.1/2 or 24
INCH DECIMAL
output of the form: 0.5 or 1.5 or 24.0
If the qualifier is omitted then DECIMAL is assumed.
The FEET option is always DECIMAL.
Both DIST and BORE can be preceded by the keyword ALTERNATE to set the alternate DISTance or BORE units. Refer to
Mixed Units within Intelligent Text Strings
for further information.
UCOD INCH BO ACT FINCH US ALT BO
set the primary bore units to INCH and alternate BORE units to FINCH USA, using ACTUAL bores.
A DEFAULT qualifier is available to reset the alternate units to the default.
UCODE MM DIST DEFAULT ALT DIST
set the primary distance units to Millimetres and the Alternate distance unit to the default (INCH DECI)
A nominal/actual qualifier is available for bores. For example
UCOD FINCH BORES ACT
UCOD FI US BO NOM
The setting is NOMINAL by default. The UCOD setting controls the bore sizes output to a drawing by DRAW’s intelligent text system. The two qualifiers have exactly the same effect as the general AVEVA E3D™ PRECI BORE NOM (or PRECI BORE ACT) commands. The NOMINAL/ACTUAL qualifier must not be used when specifying the ALTERNATE BORE units.
UCOD settings can be queried by using the pseudo-attributes:
Q UCODD
and
Q UCODB
1974 to current year.
