When a Section is Strung (refer to Creating and Connecting Sections Automatically), its start and end positions (POSS and POSE) are set to the positions of the start and end Nodes. When a Section is manually Connected or Reconnected (refer to Manually Connecting Sections), the settings of POSS and POSE are derived from the intersections of the Jline through the End Cutting Planes of the Section and the Joints. In either case, POSS and POSE are set automatically.
