Use the Class and Attribute Mapping part of the
AVEVA NET Gateway Config window to map AVEVA E3D™ elements and attributes to AVEVA NET™. The mapping functionality defines the display of AVEVA E3D™ classes and attributes when exported to AVEVA NET™.
Use Browse for Class Mapping File to load a .pmlmac file created by the legacy AVEVA NET Gateway application. When the file is selected, the class mappings defined using the legacy application are automatically loaded for the selected element types.
Use the AVEVA NET Class drop-down list to select an available class for mapping.
By default, the element types selected on the Element Selection and Filters part of the
AVEVA NET Gateway Config window are displayed in the
Selected Element column.
Use the AVEVA Net Class drop-down list to manually map the currently selected element type to an AVEVA NET Class.
Select the Map to Unknown check box to map unmapped element types to the UNKNOWN AVEVA NET Class. By default, the check box is deselected.
Use Browse for Attribute Mapping File to load the DES-VNET-INCLUDE file created by the legacy AVEVA NET Gateway application. If the loaded file does not contain the mappings but contains only the attributes, only the list of attributes is loaded.
Use the AVEVA NET Attribute drop-down list to select an available attribute for mapping.
The Attribute column contains the list of attributes for the selected element type. Use the
Attribute drop-down list to select an attribute.
Use the AVEVA NET Attribute drop-down list to specify the AVEVA NET attribute.
Select the Persist check box to apply the attribute mapping to all element types where the attribute is present.
Select the Select all attributes check box to display all available attributes for the currently selected element type. By default, the check box is deselected.
A PML expression can be added as an attribute for selected element types. The PML expression must be typed in the Attribute column. The PML expression can be mapped to an AVEVA NET attribute. The result of the PML expression must be a string data type for successful export.
If the Persist check box is selected for a PML expression, the expression and the corresponding mapping is added to all the selected element types.
The Persist check box must be selected to map a name for element types.
