Message Log
The Message log supports asynchronous messages from external applications whilst the you are working in AVEVA E3D™, which means it is possible for the Global daemon to report on global commands it has undertaken. The message is populated in the Message log whilst the Designer carries on working in AVEVA E3D™. Your flow is not interrupted, the message appears without needing to request the system for status (such as in the
Command Transactions - Change
window).
Note:
Only Extract Claim and Add Reference Range (a subtle global command required by extracts) commands are supported.
For example you use the
Extract Data Control
window to claim a pipe, which generates an error and is reported in the
Message
window.
The command is then sent to the Global daemon and will complete in a short while. In the meantime you can do other tasks using AVEVA E3D™. Once the Global daemon has completed the claim (success or failure), it is reported in the
Message
window:
Expanding the message box displays previous commands:
If the claim command succeeds, but one or more items cannot be claimed (it may be claimed by a user in the Master), then the message reports how many items failed:
1974 to current year.
